Re: supermarket clothes

I'm a C&A man too. It looks like only the UK doesn't have them. However, although it might have seemed like a British company, it's actually Dutch.
We buy most of our clothes in Germany from C&A, Kaufhof etc...

The company was founded by brothers Clemens and August Brenninkmeijer in 1841

Thanks Pats. Heck, 1841 - didn't realise that.

Re: supermarket clothes

I have never purchased clothes from a supermarket but have occasionally bought things from M&S .

When working I waited for the sales and bought good quality clothes at reduced prices and I still have many of them now including a full length navy Jaeger skirt which I got in the January sales in 2003. It looks as good as the day I bought it .

I now buy quite a few things on Ebay and jumpers/tops from internet companies like Landsend . I rarely buy clothes at all .

I rarely buy clothes either Meg, but I did buy a few cheap T.Shirts in Asda this summer.

Re: supermarket clothes

Yes I buy clothes from supermarket if anything takes my fancy. I've had loads of sweaters & summer tops from Tesco's.

Re: supermarket clothes

Dont buy from boutiques, cant be doing with all those hovering sales people, otherwise buy something from any source if i like it, comfort and practicability rather than style for me. Even Charity shops can be a source of decent clothing at reasonable prices. I like M&S but bit pricey these days, though we have a couple of outlets that sell end of line at cheaper prices.
