Re: New website ‘accurately predicts your risk of dementia’

Apparently I have zero risk in the next five years. Although I had to up my age to 55. My memory & mental acuity has actual improved over the last couple of years. I think a lot is down to diet and environmental factors. I don't take any meds these days and I think that has helped.

I don't want to know, I might forget what the results were.

They say 3% for me, drink less alcohol.

There was a question: Born in Canada? I said Yes, took it to mean Born in the country you live.

I'm surprised there weren't any Qs about mental exercise, doing sudokus, playing chess ...

Re: New website ‘accurately predicts your risk of dementia’

I had to up my age to 55 and have 0% risk. Ah well, that's good to know. I'm not really a fan of these prediction type tests, but its fun I suppose. Especially when you get the results you like, heh!

These people at Ottawa Uni have a thing about ethnic minorities ...

"The Covid-19 pandemic has also made it clear that sociodemographic variables like ethnicity and neighbourhood play a major role in our health.

“It was important to include those variables in the tool so policy makers can understand how different populations are impacted by dementia, and help ensure that any prevention strategies are equitable."

1% for me , but surely the Canadians have a different lifestyle to us anyway, so the quiz is irrelevant?
