delivery companies

In my opinion Hermes are the worst, they are terrible I don't know why people use them. Just got a product delivered by them which was "lost" in their National and Local sorting office for at least 2 days if not longer.

Which is the worst company you have had the misfortune to have goods delivered by ? this was suppose to be a 48 hr delivery

Re: delivery companies

DPD....our address is clearly too confusing for drivers to read. I mean, a number, a street name, town, and postcode is an awful lot to take on board really isn't it. Especially when you put the postcode into the GPS. Our deliveries end up at an address across town (completely different to ours) and we have got to know the people quite well now.

Re: delivery companies

realspeed, You always seem to have trouble with mail order deliveries.

I have never had trouble with any of them. The best were the ones, you ordered before a certain time that day and the item was delivered within hours.

I have found the delivery people to be so nice and polite too.

Art.
The nearest local depot for most companies are in North Kent area many miles away from here. On top of that a lot of delivery drivers can't read an address and we are always the last on their rounds. Another problem is they often have to deliver around 30+ parcels a day a target hard to reach with the holiday traffic on the south coast.

Re: delivery companies

I always thought Yodel were the worst, not that I have used them. They get very bad reviews on FB.

Re: delivery companies

Still it I suppose better than in Brazil when the ask for £90 to deliver a birthday card . You did read that correctly, so we don't send birthday/christmas cards to the grandkids

Re: delivery companies

Hermes are pretty good round Constable Country (South of Ipswich). So are FedEx. Post office parcels are not.

Re: delivery companies

most of our deliveries are by Hermes, and I can't fault them, they are usually
delivered in 2 or 3 days, and the delivery guy is very pleasant..The slowest I've found to be royal mail..

Up here we too have experienced only good service and, as mentioned before, drivers are friendly and grateful when you agree to take a parcel in for a neighbour.
