Re: Foster doggy possibly

Hi Julie,

I am so emotional, I can't read a thread like this, as I start to cry, worry about all animals.....it plays on my mind and I can't deal with it..

But I wanted to say to you "good for you being a foster mommy Julie". I too was a foster mommy, the only difference is we got first choice to keep the cat or dog, and if we didn't want to keep him when there was a new forever home, then he went to the new home. I had 4 at one time and wanted to keep them all, and I cried giving them up......I can't do it anymore, because of my mental problems. I love animals so very much, and everything effects my mental state. I am a very emotional bipolar.......

So right now, I don't have a pet, but I am seriously thinking of getting an older cat again, one old and scraggly who nobody wants....that will be the one I choose, and I will love it to pieces....

Blue xx (I knew you were a special person Julie, now I know why)............

Re: Foster doggy possibly

Have you thought about exercising dogs in rescue WB ? When I was fitter I did that for a while, local rescue always needed some one to snap on a lead and take the dogs for a little wander. That's how we came to have our late manchester terrier, each time I walked her she was so sweet and looked for me more and more to come in, it was mutual falling in love time and eventually I had to ask to take her home.

Missy had a good nights sleep think she was exhausted by her big day yesterday. We made her a bed on the floor in my room, then about 1.30am I heard little foot steps on the steps up to my bed and she joined the rest of us snuggled down under the quilt with Betty and Elsie. She slept solid to 9 am, rest of us were up at 7am but she was so tired she slept on and I had to wake her up to take Grace to school.

I can't do it Julie, as I have a serious illness and there will be no getting better, I have to lay down a lot now off and on all day long. I have become quit disabled in the last while.....

But thanks for the suggestion Julie x

Poor little thing .
What is the matter with people .
If they must abandon their animals why don't they do so at a shelter instead of leaving them to starve.

Re: Foster doggy possibly

I also, get upset when l read about dogs being abandoned or ill treated but l don’t think l could foster a dog as l wouldn’t want to part with it.

Julie, l love your little apricot poodle even though, l have never seen her. I just love poodles and my dream was to have one in every different colour!
My little poodle loved chicken and his head would spin round if l mentioned the word ‘chicken’!

Oh, I do miss him.......

Re: Foster doggy possibly

Well I can't promise this little lady will be rehomed even now she has wormed her way into hearts here, such a fluffy happy little thing considering what shes been through she trusts everyone. We are a dreadful foster family very rarely do we have a successful rehome, they usually end up staying here. Failures as fosterers we are

But very successful as carers, Julie, and that means a lot in this harsh world.
