Did the rays like being tickled? We saw some captive little ones at Georgia aquarium and they were very tactile

The stingrays were brilliant ,this bunch lived off a deserted island and as they heard the boat coming in they moved towards the beach cos they new they were getting fed, we were allowed to handfeed them as they swam around our legs,they felt soft and like velvet, but the high light of the ray trip was fantastic, if you put your hands in the water the smaller ones(less than 3ft across)would swim over your hands and rest there you could then lift them up.
