The Casual Vacancy.

This series is adapation of J.K.Rowling's book.Didn't think much of it-too much swearing in for my liking.Lots of well known actors in the cast, lovely setting.Don't know if I'll watch it again next week.

Re: The Casual Vacancy.

Well we watched the other side Indian Summer and that sent us both to sleep so sounds like two rubbish shows. Incidentally any one watching that one why/who was the baby kept appearing and disappearing ? No actually don't worry I doubt we will bother to watch next episode.

Watched it but don't rate it, not sure we'll watch the others. The acting was naff and seemed a bit amateur the way it was put together.

I started to watch it - what a cast list! To be honest, I don't know if I got distracted by something on here, or if I fell asleep. Can't have made much of an impression on me, won't bother with the next one..............

Re: The Casual Vacancy.

I read the book when it came out and thoroughly enjoyed it. Was surprised that she had turned her hand to a novel for adults. However, it's a complicated plot which is OK when you're reading as you can stop to think or go back a page. Maybe it's too complicated for turning into a TV series. I watched it and knowing what the plot was I quite enjoyed it but could understand others finding it a bit off-putting. Might improve as it goes on.
