Tall, Poldark and handsome

Poldark is coming back! I hope it's as good as the original!
Can you remember it? Robin Ellis, Anghared Rees as Ross and Demelza. This time it's that guy from Being Human, Aiden Turner (dark and smouldering) and Eleanor Tomlinson

I loved Aiden in BH, but not sure I'd be that much interested in Poldark. Never actually watched it the first time around.

Still, might just take a peek...

Re: Tall, Poldark and handsome

I loved the original and watch it often on DVD it was perfectly cast and expertly acted. The remake has a lot to live up to. They managed to persuade Robin Ellis out of retirement to play a cameo role in one episode. He is a Vicar, and he is still gorgeous !

I remember the first time-it dawned on me it must have been in B&W as I didn`t get a colour tv until 1981.

Never heard of either actor but I'll be watching it because it's a great story.

I really hope it's as good as the original, not quite computing with me why they couldn't just show us the original again, which was pretty damn good.

it was made in colour so it's a pity you only saw it in B&W because the scenery was lovely. I bought the DVD a few years ago and we thoroughly enjoyed it but will look out for the new version. The remake of Jamaica Inn wasn't a patch on the original.
