oops No top gear (the Jeremy Clarksons debate)

Well not this week anyway ...Clarkson has gone and done it again...

But love him or hate him he does what he is paid to do.
The BBC want a tame rebel, they want a bit of a whacky controversial old hippy to shake things up and then when he does they back off and deny all knowlegde..

Time to get a backbone auntie beeb, sack him or stand by him.

Yes he can be a bit over the top sometimes. However a lot of complaints dsomestic or from foreign governments lack a serious sense of humour and take things too seriously. I don't think JC will mind too much anyway being a multi millionaire. He could almost buy out the BBC

Re: oops No top gear (the Jeremy Clarksons debate)

No chance that Clarkson will go. The Top Gear franchise is worth too much. Massive viewing numbers, the revenue for Dave channel repeats, the toy market, Stig action figures, Top gear magazines and so on. £millions at stake here. Clarkson IS Top Gear, therefore is bulletproof.

Note similar scenarios where less money is involved. Chris Evans "I won't work Fridays" nonsense. Not that much money hanging off his show so off he goes. The Jonathon Ross episode. No actual money generated by that show so off he goes.

Clarkson will be back in no time. A pretend wrap on the knuckles, a pretend apology and back to normal.

Agreed, he has made his name from being an outspoken idiot... I hope the BBC sack him but I doubt they will because his controversial manner attracts an audience which doesn't include me.

I would think other networks will fall over themselves to sign him up.

What's going on with this new Top Gear publicity stunt, who cares what Clarkson and the producers have been getting up to, as for suspending the remaining series episodes, what a joke, the proof of the pudding will be if no new series are made.

Top Gear is a programme I'venever watched but I reckon that Clarkson comes across as a very arrogant man and frankly my dear, I don't give a damn !
