Re: The Chase

A question today about The Icelandic Naming Committee.
Governs the names given to babies. They follow patronymic system.

Yes, I have heard that before - probably on The Chase three years ago.

Yes they do quite often. I sometimes wonder if there are companies that set the questions then supply certain programmes with them.

Never worked out why folks put the Jackpot counter into zone two or three.

Re: The Chase

Question asked today about the perfect temperature for bread when toasting. The correct answer was 154 degrees, how on earth do they reckon that. I prefer mine lightly done, and eaten warm.

I think that's rubbish.....Toast should be done as quickly as possible. The hotter the heat source the better. The idea is to toast the surface without drying out the interior of the bread.

Too slow in a low heat source just dries out the whole of the bread making it crunchy and brittle.

Toasting bread on an open fire always makes the best toast, Yum! Yum!....

There will be a short intermission now while I go and do a slice...

Sainsburys have it right, the toast can be delivered cold but still tastes good.
