Do you ever start to type out a reply then think, "I can't be bothered" deleting it?

I've noticed I do this a couple of times a day, and not more so on this forum, rather more contentious threads elsewhere.

Quite the opposite. I start to type out a reply then change my mind about posting it.

Isn't that the same thing? Or do you mean that you do post it after initial doubts?

I sometimes go back and rephrase it...just did so in fact!

Yes, occasionally that happens Ffosse, but not every day.

I tend to type exactly what's on my mind, post it, read it back, then immediately edit it because it would no doubt upset people.

I usually will edit for typos, or if I feel I haven't quite got my meaning across.

I do edit my post sometimes, if I have forgotten to say something, or typed in the wrong word.

But that's only sensible, of course.
