So everyone is 100% clear, there is zero panic or stockpiling here in France. There is an abundance of excellent food, drink and medicine. The health service is exceptional. So much better than your NHS. The quality of the workers lunch is unbelievable. 13 euros for three delicious courses. Oh, but you prefer McDonalds. The grape harvest is about to begin. It’s 30 deg for the next 10 days. No worries here.Hey little England, any probs your end?

The french are stockpiling their wine, brandy and champagne in britain. Either the french know their brits and think they cannot live a day without their tipple, or they are afraid brits are unable to travel to the continent to sustain their spiritual lives?

In respect of France . . . ."In March, the risk of a recession rose in Europe after dire economic data in France. At the time, France's private sector entered contraction territory as orders for both manufacturers and service firms lagged. Plus in the second quarter, the nation's growth unexpectedly slowed, expanding at just 0.2 percent (below analyst expectations of 0.3 percent), despite a slew of tax cuts passed by the government.
In April, the International Monetary Fund cut its global growth outlook to the lowest pace since the financial crisis began 12 years ago. “This is a delicate moment” for the global economy, the IMF’s chief economist warned during a press conference, citing precarious trade negotiations between the U.S. and China, as well as uncertainty surrounding Britain’s planned departure from the European Union, which is slated to happen in October."
Germany now in recession. Italy in recession.
