Blue darlin' I am of an age where chivalry was not only practised, but taught too - and I reject all this PC rubbish!!!

I stand when a lady enters the room, I help her on and off with her coat, I allow ladies to proceed ahead of me. I hold doors open for ladies and allow them to proceed through the door ahead of me. There was a time when I would also stand and allow ladies to take my seat on crowded public transport, but regrettably infirmity now prevents me from doing so, although it still rankles with me.

Offer your seat to a female on a train these days and she will most like say you are a sexist barsteward.
