I have been on forums where that is only reason men chat with women & if you tell them "No" they never want to chat again!
Twinkle, it is my experience that most women know exactly how to handle men.

As I said a few posts back, the people I joke with and thump, - like Judsy, Dongle, and others - have known me a few years now. We get on well, understand each other's humour, and are friends. That is what matters to me more than someone else's negative opinion.

That's the reason why I very, very rarely initiate PMs. In the 7½ years I've been on here I have initiated PMs only twice, maybe three times and even then it was with reference to something that was discussed in one or other of the forums. I know women have had problems with male weirdos on various forums over the years, so I don't continue PMs for any length of time. It's better to leave people in their secure space.
