Work

I am surprised not to find a thread category on the subject of 'Work' and since I cannot be the only 'Over 50' (and under 60) person here who has a full time job, perhaps people don't want to converse on that subject. ?

Re: Work

Never thought work was worth discussing, I dislike the quiz show format where during the introductions, the contestants state their age and occupation, does this matter.

Re: Work

Knowing someone's occupation enables you to make judgements about them...........judgements which may be wrong.

Re: Work

Remember "What's my line" with Eamonn Andrews? Nothing quite like being a "Saggar maker's bottom knocker".

There is a new complimentary show on the horizon, in line with modern outlook "What's my Gender".

Re: Work

I'm only PT these days but my husband is FT, TBH the subject comes up fairly frequently but in other threads. If you can't find a thread you enjoy then start another is how it works I think.

Re: Work

I use to love my work, but it got too much and so retired early; a couple of years ago to be exact. I worked out that I would probably have assets of about £1million when I depart this planet for good and no one to leave it all to. So I thought what's the point.

Now I have far less money and much more time (hence typing this whilst lying in bed watching Top Gear at nearly 10am). When I do pop my clogs and no doubt I'll probably live longer, I'll leave it all to charity
