Yes,well-there y'go,y'see-a perfect example,that.
Darwin....second at everything.
After all,Anaximander [610-546BC] was first to put forward the theory that life originated and developed as marine life,gradually evolving into land-based lifeforms..
But DOES he get a mention? Does he fuand what about Jean-Baptist Lamark,hmm?
Early 19th century,[Not 'over half-way through it'...ie,1859,like SOME people ]put forward his theory of 'Transmutation of species'.
Also coined the phrase 'biology' AND issued a paper on the Moon's effect on the Earth's atmosphere in 1798!
These achievements made him world-famous in Bazentin [a small town in Picardy]
But-is he remembered for his contributions,theories,papers,work?
Izzy bollbut if he'd invented chocolate wrapped in gold paper,he'd be a household name to this day!

Nah-us geezers really do need to sort our priorities out
