Plantar Fascilitis (Heel Pain)

Does anyone suffer from this and what have you found to be the best cure?

Get a golf ball and place it under your heel whilst seated.
Rotate the ball with your heel, sort of massaging it, for a couple of minutes at a time.
Works for me.
Prior to that I had steroid injections. relief only lasted a few months.

Had the injection a few years ago (a bit less fun than most simple jabs) and never had a problem since.

I had insoles made which sorted mine out, it took about a year of wearing them and even now I am careful what shoes I wear, decent trainers are best.

Thanks. I have the orthotic insoles and will try the golfball trick before I go and ask about a cortisone injection. I had one for a shoulder spur and it did cure that.

Re: Plantar Fascilitis (Heel Pain)

Hi Jaywalker, I had this about 3 years ago and my Doctor gave me a Cortisone Injection, painful injection and it will hurt more for about 3/4 days afterwards then it will get better and gradually disappear. Good Luck.

Re: Plantar Fascilitis (Heel Pain)

Thanks. I'll probably end up doing the same.
