Re: Turkey Lurkey

We don't have turkey, we prefer beef, have had that every Christmas for years now.

That's what I will be getting. A small one just for me - and a Quorn roast for Mrs LD. M&S usually do some nice ones.

It makes chwistmas.

It's nobody's favourite food, and therein lies the fun. Like some cheesy pun in a cracker, it's only once a year.

Re: Turkey Lurkey

I'm with Judd on this one and there's a nice piece of organic pork shoulder waiting in the freezer to be taken out on Christmas Eve. I'll be on my own this year so no need to share the crackling, yum!

I do as I love it TBH
I am not fond of turkey at all, in years past I much preferred goose or duck.

However many years ago I decided that the European Christmas meal just didn't suit our Christmas in the garden so we have a barbie with lots of steaks, chops and snags. The biggest and by far the most important food on the day is prawns by the kilo!

Christmas without prawns would be an extreme disappointment despite the outrageous increase in price at that time of year.

The only "traditional" thing we do have is Christmas Pudding set on fire with brandy and mince pies.
