Carefully worded statement that would require a lengthy time of counselling for child and parents/guardian. Your point being the top consideration.

Whoever performs the surgery cannot be blamed if the individual does not cope with the transition, scarring from surgery to remove and rejection of organs constructed.

Re: Transitioning at 16 too young?

Is society putting suggestions and options to the young people that were never there in my younger days?

Of course there were lads at school who were more feminine that most, and preferred to play with dolls and wear dresses. There were also girls who were butch and liked fighting and playing rugger. But we didn't consider that they were boys trapped in girls bodies, or girls trapped in boys bodies. They were just unconventional. Nowadays we have to make a big thing out of it and even give them help to take it further.

There is nothing wrong with these people, and if the boys want to wear dresses, or the girls play rugger that's fine, we are all individuals, and it makes the world a more interesting and colourful place to live in.
But taking it further with surgery or drugs is not right at all. You are born one or the other, so let's keep it like that....
