As you well know Roxy darlin' - my stomach is my temple (I worship there at least three times a day) and I wouldn't dream of abusing it in this way - I prefer good wholesome food, animals that walk on FOUR legs and vegetables and fruit that grow on trees or in the ground.

No insects, lab meat or algae for me... but seaweed is ok.

Interesting bit in that article about background sounds affecting our perception of the way food tastes.

I think I would have to starve. In Kenya after rain when the millions of flying ants appear, the locals put down white sheets to attract them, they consider them a delicacy and a good source of protein .In the far east they eat all kinds of revolting insects.

I can't imagine any 'meat' on an insect. Just hard, crunchy bits.
