Susie darlin' - sounds lovely, but might I suggest an alternative recipe for the lamb. Place joint in roasting tin. Pour 1/2 Pt orange juice over lamb, add 3 Tblsps Soy Sauce,3 Tblsps Worcester sauce, 2 Tblsps Apricot jam, 4-5 cloves of garlic (crushed) and 2 Tsps dried rosemary. Baste fairly frequently to stop joint from drying out. When ready to cook, strain from marinade, and place in another roasting tin and 'dry' roast for aprox 35 - 40 mins. Remove from oven and strain off any excess 'fat'. Pour marinade over lamb and return to oven. Continue to cook, basting lamb in marinade at frequent intervals until lamb is cooked through. Remove from oven and allow to 'rest'. Pour marinade into saucepan, add 'lamb' oxo cube and 1 Tsp cornflour (to thicken), stir vigously whilst heating on hob. Serve with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots and onion. Truly delicious!!!

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

I over did the sherry trifle yesterday so I plan somerthing simple

PUt the contents of a tin of butter beans, drained in to a frying pan ,laced with Olive oil. Add loads of garlic & chopped flat leaf parsley and cook until butter beans are golden. Serve.
It's quite nice if you put the beans in a third of a tin at a time, cos then some of the beans are crunchy and some softer. It's all good,

I sometimes add tuna at the end. They do this in Normandy with a salad
