Maths

On one hand I count 1 2 3 4 5 digits thumb to little finger On the other hand count goes 10. 9 8 7 6 digits little finger to thumb add them together 5+6 = 11 so work that out

I can't do that. I have never been any good at maths, without my calculator I am up the creek without a paddle.

10, 9 8, 7, 6 = 5 numbers RS ..... same as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 = 5 numbers.

5 + 5 = 10

I had the distinction? of being the only person in a maths test to get 10 out of 100 in my last year at school & I think the 10 was because the teacher felt sorry for me. I was then & still am now, no good at maths at all, though I do know how to give the right change.

I would have got -10! I suspect I might be suffering from dyscalculia, which is like dyslexia but where numbers are concerned not words!

realspeed, Were you born in the Forest Of Dean? People born there have an extra finger on their hand!

Strangely enough I liked maths at school but could not understand when algebra-trigonomentry- sign, co sign and tangents would be useful in later years, and they wern't, never used. What a waste of school time having those lessons

Left school as soon as I reach 15 years old and started an apprenticeship instead which even today allows me to fix repair make things apart from a mess
