Swine flu

Where's it gone then? here we were all prepared and it's dropped out of the news completely.
I did hear that the World Health Organisation has said that normally healthy adults shouldn't receive Tamiflu as a matter of routine, because it will allow the flu to become resitsant if too many people take it.
So, here I am with my 5 days supply of Paracetamol for two ... bring it on! (But don't really - am quite happy not to meet that virus)

I wish they would tell us what 'underlying' condition the people who have died have had though. :-/

Re: Swine flu

It's still in the news here. Today there was a article saying the human virus had gotten in to turkeys in South America (think it was Chilie, but have put the papers out in the recycling bin). They're concerned that it might mutate in the birds and become more virulent. Also, the recomendations now are not to close schools; just isolate and send home the ill students. And they may now return 24 hours after the fever has broken rather than a week.

I'm still not getting the shot.

Well that will annoy Don Rumsfeld.
