Re: How much do you spend on groceries per week?

I don.t shop at one place anymore, but will visit other places, i have few set ideas ahead bt if somethings on offer can build a meal around it.

I only have one cooked meal a day ,in the evening, but i dont rely on precooked frozen food as it is rarely enough and can be expensive, i do buy prepared salads though.

Re: How much do you spend on groceries per week?

When I could get out, I used to shop at Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl etc. I know I paid less when I was actually in the supermarket as opposed to shopping online.

I'm cross this week because they sent me a lot of vegetables that have the June 2nd sell-by date. I'll make the most of them tonight, though, eating a lot of veg with my Cornish pasty.

And I forgot that bottle of wine I bought - £6. I may cut down although 1 bottle of wine a week is all I drink.

Less than £20 a week. Yesterday, because I had run out of chutney, sauce and one or two other items, I spent £23 but wont shop again until next Friday.

I'm impressed - do you shop at Lidl/Aldi a lot?

I shop at Lidl only, because that is the only shop near here and I can get there on my mobility scooter.

I looked into getting one of those scooters but I'm hoping my inability to walk far goes away, that it is just temporary due to the chemotherapy.

Today I changed my duvet cover, sheets and pillow cases and even this level of activity left me out of breath for a few minutes. I can't walk to Lidl (there is one not far from me).

I aim to be a lot more savvy with my online shopping in future.

Re: How much do you spend on groceries per week?

I do a main shop once a fortnight. I just looked back at my receipts and it averages out at around £35 a week but doesn't include dog food (which is more bloody expensive than my food!).

But quite often I will buy extras if they're on offer, especially if they can be frozen or stored.

Normally I use Tesco but sometimes I do a Morrisons online shop (40 mile round trip to their nearest store) and stock up on things that are either cheaper than Tesco (like their loo rolls) or things I can't get anywhere else (like Hammonds Chop Sauce). Usually the online shop is around £50 but is only every 2 or 3 months.

Roughly £75 -£85 per week. That's for two and two cats.
