Re: Driving

I drive an Audi A1 and a Nissan Juke
Love them both for different reasons

I think a long as you're medically fit there is no reason to stop but perhaps a watered-down driving test should be introduced to the over 75s (or thereabouts) every 2 years or so...as reactions can slow down and it's a dog eat dog mentality on some of those roads out there

Re: Driving

I couldn’t do my job if I didn’t drive. Also could not imagine being without a car once I retire. I would consider an electric car in the future. I had a Lexus CT 200 h hybrid before my current car and quite liked it.

Re: Driving

When I count the cost of my annual insurance, road tax, MOTs, petrol, tyres, services, general maintenance and valets/washes sometimes I think it would be cheaper to go everywhere by public transport or taxi!

But the public transport infrastructure of the UK is undeniably s****! So easier, it certainly wouldn't be!

Re: Driving

I am not for driverless cars per se but I think they have some merit when it comes to the elderly and infirm.

Driving is indispensable as you get older.
