For what it's worth, I admire the Australians' ability in cricket.

Of course, when you compare the money we (our fans, certainly not me!) spend on supporting football, to the money you Australians spend on supporting cricket, you can see why the Australian cricket team is so good, and has been for years.

People are very generous, the only way they can show support for the lad and his family.

Re: Boy, 6, 'thrown from 10th floor' of Tate Modern

8 August 2019 (updated)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/topics/c1...nt/tate-modern

A teenager accused of attempting to murder a six-year-old boy by throwing him off a balcony at the Tate Modern has appeared in court.

He was remanded in custody and a provisional trial date was set for 3 February.

The 17-year-old defendant confirmed his name, age, address and nationality, during the short hearing earlier.

At the hearing, Judge Sir Nicholas Hilliard QC imposed a reporting restriction banning the naming of the defendant and the victim.

The court was also told psychiatric reports for the defendant had been ordered.

Six months before trial. Why?
In the interim he will hopefully be kept in custody.

.
The link Omah gave clearly gives the information that psychiatric reports are needed.
When a person is remanded in custody it means that they will be detained in a prison until a later date when a trial or sentencing hearing will take place
Should offenders plead guilty no trial takes place of course.

Tate Modern fall: Boy, aged 6, 'making amazing progress'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-49620743

In a statement, his family thanked people for their support and said he remained in hospital.

They said: "Even if he can't speak or move his body for the moment, we now know for sure that he understands us.

"He smiles and we saw him laughing several times since a couple of days when we were telling him some funny things or when we were reading to him some stories.

"It gives us lots of strength and hope, as much as the strength you, all of you, give us since the beginning with your kind messages."
That's good to hear .....
