Don't really use fb once. Am a member of 3 groups, but don't really get involved as they're mostly for interest purposes.

Quite useful for trying to trace people when I'm in a nostalgic mood, not that I bother contacting them.

I won't make the mistake of posting something on this site as important as having our private information stolen again. No one cares. Identity theft is serious. Burying the link I posted in an old thread means the impact is lost. There are programs designed to rape sites of the personal information and combine it all. It makes identity theft easy for those who know how to do it. My husband is a software designer. He's explained how it works. Please pay attention to this. This site is not competition with Facebook.

Donald Trump's ban from Facebook and Instagram has been upheld by Facebook's Oversight Board. But it criticised the permanent nature of the ban as beyond the scope of Facebook's normal penalties. It has ordered Facebook to review the decision and "justify a proportionate response" that is applied to everyone, including ordinary users.

The former president was banned from both sites in January following the Capitol Hill riots. The ruling means that Mr Trump's suspension remains in place for now. The Board said Facebook must respond within six months.

The former president has also been banned from Twitter and YouTube but launched a new website on Tuesday to update supporters with his thoughts.
Trump will now preach only to the converted .....

I don't really do much with it, and I have no idea how the whole thing works in general. I get almost daily notifications of friend suggestions, and they are invariable asians. The most recent two are Khairul Islam and Prem Gupta. They may well make admirable friends, but I suspect we would have little in common. Does anyone else experience this.

I'm very much hoping The Todger does.

I only keep fb going since I'm a member of a group with a single purpose issue. Once it's been resolved, I'll close my account.

Not really sure what criteria it uses for friend suggestions. Maybe there's a setting to stop it, but I've not looked too hard to find it.
