Good advice Cassie, I have over the years become so laid back that the petty stuff just doesn't bother me at all. It actually makes hubs annoyed as he does sweat the petty things and it really rattles him that I just shrug them off.

I like all of yours Robert.

Nothing is forever. You will play many roles in your life and learn from each one.

Always have a backup plan.

Don't use credit cards or take out loans. Pay cash.

Be careful in relationships. A man's interaction with family and friends can tell you a lot.

Don't turn down any opportunity to travel.

Share your life and love with a cat.

Don't rush into marriage too young. Be more demonstrably affectionate to people. Advise my parents not to migrate here to Tasmania.

I like all of yours Annie and the only one I would change is the last one. I would say - Share your life with a dog

Many of the good ones have already been said, so I will just add :_

Re: What would you say to a young you

Without any hesitation, the first piece of advice given would be 'do not get married' - worst decision I ever made (and I made it twice!). I agree with others, the next advice would be 'hone your skills and get a good job that will bring independence. Last piece of advice: be firmer with the dogs and insist they do as they're told every time!
