I must have lived alone longer than I have lived with somebody. Like Meg said earlier, you get set in your ways. I have a fair few hobbies and friends, so by no means am I a hermit though.
Priorities vary day to day, depends on what needs doing.
Ironing's on my list most days because I rarely seem to catch up with it, so it goes back on my list for the next day !

Such an easy question; American psychologist Abraham Maslow put forward a theory of psychological health, the Hierarchy of Needs in in the 1940s and that still applies though it has to be modified for the 21st Century

Re: IF LIVING ALONE...what are your priorities

I've lived alone since my kids flew the nest and I love every minute of it. I have friends to socialise with when I feel like it and solitude when I want it. My kids come down to stay for the odd weekend and they are all with in driving distance (between 90km and 250km).

I can go anywhere I want when I want. It is the perfect existence as far as I am concerned.

Re: IF LIVING ALONE...what are your priorities

Never lived alone. My husband worked away sometimes but I had the children to look after so I was always kept busy.

Not sure how I will fare if and when it comes to it. I don't relish the idea though. I don't make lists and my priorities are dealt with as they arise. My children were always my priority, in the past and will continue to be so whenever they need me, as will my grandchildren. I suppose my priority, in the main, is making life as comfortable and enjoyable for both my husband and myself. Oh! And I love my garden

Re: IF LIVING ALONE...what are your priorities

I rent a room on my sister's lower level so I am not alone, but essentially I am. I'm very respectful of their privacy and vice-versa. My sister and I will sometimes watch TV shows together (she works days, I work nights, we both work at home so no commute time). I love my life "as is."

I know that feeling, Mups. I've stopped putting ironing on the list at all...At my age I'm entitled to be wrinkly.
