We need more bustles, more corsets, more hats and more men with beards, then we'll stand out more and not be ignored

Re: Calling all ignored women!

1. How old are you?

Seriously .......

2. What does ageing mean to you?

I try not to think about it !

3. When do you think old age begins?

When you start thinking about it.

4.Do you feel you have a lot to look forward to in the future?

Maybe if i win the lottery

5. are there any previous preconceptions/worries you had about ageing which you have personally disproved?

No but I've managed to steer clear of beige so far.

6. Do you own a smartphone?

Yes

7. Which social networks do you use? (if any)

FB, Twitter

8. Do you feel you are a spiritual person?

Sometimes

9. Do you take part in any active leisure pursuits? If so, what?

Swimming, keep fit, pilates

10. Would you prefer: a) something new and exciting, or b) something comfortable and familiar

Are we talking men?

11. Do you like to stretch yourself to try new things?

Not too much

12. Do you think it's important to follow your dreams?

No never did that.

13. In a lifestyle magazine tailored to yourself, what would you enjoy seeing?
(choose as many as you like)

- a) food and recipes
- b) travel guides
- c) art
- d) fashion
- e) photography
- f) "real" people
- g)simple design
- h) celebrities
- i) how to create an identity
- j) poetry/literature
- k) current film and music

Have grown out of magazines, don't know whether it's age related, but some of the topics above are ok. Prefer to read stories now.

14. Are there any other specific features you would like to see in a magazine?

I don't think a lifestyle magazine would add anything to my life at all now, but you're probably right Amal, older people are pretty ignored by the fashion industry etc, it's probably much harder to engage with older people who are not so influenced by advertising etc and are happy with their identity as it is.

Oh no, yet another spammer, trying to get private information. Tell 'em nowt! If they're still at school or Uni then they're not qualified to be a member of the Over 50s Forum.

I know, the only problem is when I see something I like in a sort of neutral colour and I think but it's beige

I think it's remembering how older people always wore tan or beige colour coats and cardis in the 60s and 70s.
