Re: Shaken and slightly angry tonight

Julie, that's awful, it must have been very frightening, I'm so sorry for you.

You said you were just going to work, so was it right outside your house?
Was it still daylight?

I had my bag stolen a couple of years ago, but at least I wasn't hurt in the process, but the things I lost upset me greatly.

I hope you manage to get some sleep and feel a bit better tomorrow. x

Glad you're okay after your ordeal Julie, must have been very frightening. Make sure you take a couple of days to recover.

What an awful experience .....

Having been the victim of both pickpockets and burglars, I can empathise .....

Victim Support can be very helpful:

My best wishes for a speedy recovery .....

Bloody terrible, Julie.
Why does this sort of stuff so often happen to the nicest people ?

As Judd said, take some time off - even if you think you don't need to.

Would be the furthest thing from your mind at the moment but ...
you may be entitled to $ compensation from either your employer's insurance or your vehicle insurer.
This is certainly the case in Aus if one is injured on the way to or from work.
Not sure about the UK though.

Oh Julie! What a horrible experience: the loss and injuries. Hope you are feeling ok this morning.

How did you end up needing stitches? What caused the cut?

Sending hugs too. Do keep talking to us if you feel down, but I know you have a loving and supportive family around you. Xx

Police were less than helpful and didn't really want to know. Ambulance men were lovely as they took me to hospital and back of my head was stitched up by a very nice young man, my shoulder isn't quite ok dislocation was very painful but they managed to put it back as it should be.

Off to bed now as its tired me out more than an evening at work, big thank you to Nathan for dashing to the rescue and doing my work tonight.

Lesson learned don't carry bag on shoulder and be aware when opening car who is around.

Night night everyone hoping for a better day tomorrow.
How awful that must have been a terrible experience.
