If You Were Referred to as "Lad"

By say, a taxi driver as you tipped him, would you think that a little disrespectful or think him just being friendly?

More one for the males, but the females may well have a view.

After I checked his eye sight I guess it would be like being referred to as a girl ? Never bothers me there are far worse things you can be called in life.

I get this often and take it as a compliment. When somebody calls me "young man" and that person is quite obviously younger than myself, it can only mean I'm looking after myself generally

Hi

Being called Lad is infinitely better than be called the old man.

I don't like being referred to as a guy as in 'Are you guys ok?'

It's annoying but what else ?
Are you folks ok ( sounds too George Bush)
Are you oldies ok ( reason for inflicting GBH)
Are you boys and girls ok ( patronising nimcompoop)
Are you ladies and Gents ok ( bit of a mouthful and vaguely remincinent of public loos)
Are you good people ok -not bad !

It makes me laugh when someone younger than me, calls me 'Lass'!
Anything is better than being called, Hun, Duck, My Luv, Babe, Tweakle and My Dear!

I'm well aware there are worse things you can be called. (I won't list them for reasons of decency).
