I see from papers that this isn't first time the cladding has been blamed for lives lost, it's happened before in another country. If that's true IMO we should be looking at criminal charges.

These people are so hypocritical. She not poor either. Take that aside, and as she has previously been criticised by other journalist and accused of racism, just maybe she's trying to gloss over that fact with false sympathy for the majority of those affected by this most terrible tragedy. She's had to pay out a lot of money in damages to Muslim families.

I see it as her contribution towards her own mission for personal gain. Unless of course it's all 'tongue in cheek'.

Last night as I climbed into my bed I felt safe and warm just as those poor little souls had done thinking there would be a tomorrow . I lay there thinking of them and couldn't bear to think too much , I had to read to stop myself thinking of them all or I would have broken .

But all so real it is , our life's go on , the world still turns for us .

Yes there will be people held to ransom but nothing absolutely nothing compares to this dreadful tragedy

@ Susan m. I think the country has been shocked into what seems to be some sort of unreal melodrama.

People talking yesterday on the news channels, seemed void from emotion, in many cases, officials and politicians being interviewed seemed to be so controlled. Corbyn again sounded completely insincere and was ready to point fingers and make political gain.

Out of all of this tragedy there will be the eventual realisation, and when reality kicks in, there will be so many needing psychological help, I doubt their world will keep turning the way it once did.

As for the rest of us, yes we will carry on but each happening chips away a little bit more until I worry we will become completely desensitised , just like those who constantly live in war torn areas of the world. That must be the only way they can cope.
At the end of the day an emptiness and void that will never be filled.

I don't think corbyn sounded insincere, he's as affected as the rest of us by this, he wants answers though which have to come after this fire that appears to have been avoidable.

Hi

It is not just the cladding, it is the fire separation.

The smoke should not have got out into the protected stairwell.

The fire doors are there to prevent such a thing happening.

When installed they have self closures and smoke seals to prevent this happening.

The fire should have been contained in the flat where it started for a minimum of 30 minutes, 60 minutes in high rise.

I don't think it helped the flat in questuion was on fire for 10 minutes or more while the resident packed his bag before alerting his neighbours !

You can't expect people to act sensibly in many situations.

I can't agree. Corbyn rarely comes across as sincere and he's always on the case for political gain!
