Je parle Francais. While living in France I used to cringe at the English - even the ones who lived there - who refused to learn the language of the country.
The worst ones used to shout at French people in English... with a `french` accent!

Never been to France but if I ever do (not in this life time): Will not try to abuse the French.
I have always had trouble learning a new language so will pay extra for a guide & let them do the talking.
I do pick up accents easily though.
When in Rome.....etc.
