I can't seem to settle down..

... due to health issues and the news of my biopsy I'll get on Thursday noon, I keep flitting around the internet, try to read a book, listen to a podcast etc..

But my mind is constantly roaming. I know I'll sleep tonight because of my meds and this will be welcome, but does anyone have a cure for an unsettled (albeit temporarily) mind?

It's too early to go to bed - I'm cooking a small macaroni cheese which will perhaps last 15 minutes.

Have you got a good DVD you can play mate? I find that being engrossed in a favourite film or even one you haven't seen before, relaxes the mind.

A film I know I like works for me too .
It distracts enough to drain off that excess 'thinkyness'.... Music usually does it for me too ... though I have to be careful I get the right music to suit my mood.

I've got Netflix but that's struggling to keep up with my mind. I'm just going to watch some rubbish on YouTube and that should keep me occupied.

This too will pass (things in general) , I trust.

No, but I can sew - trouble is I've nothing needing sewing right now.

Found a Neil Diamond concert - going to give it a go (I quite like his music).

I'd recommend "Peanuts - the movie" on Netflix. Good distraction.
