The Count-down has begun.

Ok folks, have started the countdown clock - this time next week I'll be tucked up snug and warm in my hospital bed.

Have done most of the packing, all that's missing is my ablutions kit and my dressing gown which is even now drying, having been washed earlier today.

Have sorted out my 'contact' 'phone numbers and will be telling everyone the 'Patientline' number.

Operation is scheduled for sometime next Wednesday - Jean will keep you all posted on how the operation went, will be steeped to the gills in morphine.

Mary darlin' the nurses will be fawning over me - they'll have to as I won't be able to move. Am having an 'epidural' so will have a needle stuck in my spinal column and will be numb from the waist down.

Oh I hate those epidural thingys, the man who did mine was a learner and oh boy did he need to learn how to do it. Anyway good luck for everything, will be thinking of you, Annie.J
