Patrick Macnee

Aged 93 the actor that played John Steed in the Avengers died peacefully at his home in California.

I just read that too. I used to enjoy The Avengers when he was in it

93's a pretty good age and California aint such a bad place to die. I hope he was in good health until the end

The Avengers used to be my favourite programme back in the 60s/70s, always a good storyline.

Life treated him well, 93 was a good age...

I liked the Avengers when he was in it - it went straight down silly street after he left. R.I.P. Patrick.

RIP Patrick. I have his photo autographed from years back.
Always liked The Avengers and it was a exceptional programme
at the time of not a lot of channels or programmes.
93 is a great age and yet another of our actors aged 93
like Christopher Lee.

RIP Steed. He was a far more complicated person than just `Steed`-read his autobiography or any other about his background. My older brother was at school with his son Rupert.
