Re: Do you argue about the Heating??

No arguments in our house. I've always been the chilly one but hubby is beginning to feel the cold now, though he is a beggar for opening windows!
The bathroom one is open all the time..it reminds me of when I was small and we only had the outside loo. I remember putting on my coat to spend a penny
Our heating is never higher than 18°

Re: Do you argue about the Heating??

Could I just ask, do others find it best to leave the heating on overnight or turn it off. We have ours on 19 which I find quite low. Our house is quite chilly and we do sometimes put other heaters on to top it up. I leave the heating on all the time and wondered whether we should turn it off overnight but thought if we did the house would get so cold it would never heat up again as I cant get it to go above 19.

What are your ideas, would I save more money do you think or would it cost more because I would have to use the other heater to bring it back up in the day?

Our heating is set by a timer, it's set to switch on at 6:30am so that the house is warm when we get up, goes off at 11:00am and the house remains warm; comes back on at 4:00pm and switches off for the night at 9:00pm. The thermostat is set at 21º

Re: Do you argue about the Heating??

Ive tried setting it on the timer and it doesnt come on, Ive just done it again. We'll see what happens this time. I have no instructions for it, so dont know how to set it to go off. I has 4 times which I assume are 4 times for it to come on. Unless its 2 to come on and 2 to go off.

All I can say is being deaf has its advantages, you dont argue about anything because you dont wear the hearing aid indoors, you dont hear whats being said .... unless its patronising and then I hear that every time.
