Good morning all.

Going to be a bit cooler today - thunderstorms forecast by lunchtime. Mind you - they said we would have storms last night - but we didn't!

Two birthday cards to make - then I might do some jewellery making - Christmas gifts !

It rained here last night and I forgot to take in the cushions on the outside furniture....tuts

Taking out a fireplace today...we have found an old dry well on our property so all the rubble is going in that we are trying to fill it in so its a bit safer. I might get a bit mucky today

Good morning all, duller here too and rain for later they say, but I think I will water the veg plants just in case anyway..

Just about to go to the forest for an hour then it's another day of pottering about doing whatever it is that needs doing, or doing nothing if not...

Good morning everyone I was surprised to hear rain when I awoke this morning but I am happy to see it, just what is needed for the newly planted grass seed on patches of lawn .

I was sad to find a bedraggled starling that had flown into the window standing on the patio it was alive but winded. I spoke to it softly and it hopped under some plants I hope it will be ok.

I am tired after a day with 3 of the grandchildren, they ate all the lunch I had prepared including all the salads so good to see.

Morning all, a misty start to the day here in Devon, but still warm. Our granddaughter will be here for a few hours today, to give her mum time to prepare for an interview later this week.

Today is our younger grandson's birthday, and last night we all went out for a meal to celebrate. It was the first time we'd had a family night out at a restaurant since January 2020 - in fact the first time Mr B and I had been out for a meal in that time! It was a such a treat, such a lovely evening! Unfortunately we weren't allowed to have candles on the birthday cake, because Covid regulations ban the blowing of candles. A minor issue, and the birthday boy was sensible enough to understand this.
