Re: Coronavirus: Public spending on crisis soars to £190bn

Our local council makes huge gains by catching speeding motorists.

And, often, through Driver's abuse of parking regulations.

The Government should harden up on Face Mask avoiders, mob drinking, failure to follow the guidance.

That way the people costing the most, through neglecting the rules, would end up paying for it all.

Job done!

Note: Only Joking!

Tax rises of more than £40bn a year 'all but inevitable'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54509262

The Institute for Fiscal Studies said borrowing this year will hit levels not seen in peacetime due to the pandemic. It said the state had pumped an extra £200bn into the economy to support jobs, businesses and incomes this year. This was necessary but would mean big tax hikes into the middle of the next decade, the IFS said.
No estimate of rates has been mentioned yet, though .....

All this money, being overspent,, by the World's Governments, must be going somewhere.

Where can I get details, so that I can make some investments?

This is nothing more than my opinion and not advice.

Futures markets short term look good to me, especially grains.

Metals markets for medium and long term (but IMO not industrial metals such as copper though silver might be worth a punt). Industrial metals are very dependent on how this global pandemic pans out.
