I hate to admit it, because he is a man, but he does seem to know a lot about wildlife..... and he takes great photos.

Yup, can't argue with that!
He also looks good in a vest and kilt and has a nice voice, Mups is still swooning I think!

Reminds me of something I was watching on TV. I can't remember what birds they were (something tropical I think) but the males have to build a nest to impress the female before she will.... y' know. She then goes round and inspects them and chooses the best one and the best male. One poor sod was really struggling.

What a great guy to be so helpful Nom. I am sure it feels great to have hand a hand in the little ones' success.

Absolutely phenomenal shots of the bower bird constructions. I am forever in awe of the skill of nesting.
