Well OGF, this turned out to be a Cheap in, dear out exercise. I had to take the summer car out of the garage to make the necessary modifications and remove the old door. We stood the old door up against the house without concern as it wasn't windy, next, out of the blue one slight gust, and over it went onto the car. Luckily only paint damage, no dent as I can make out, probably cost what I saved on the door, not to worry though, there are worse things in life.
