Once Again the EU Fail to Deliver

The crisis of COVID-19 now made worse by the EU failing to agree how much money to borrow.

Meanwhile, countries like Italy and Spain face their next epidemic while their economies are on the verge of collapse.

3 months on .... nothing delivered. What an absolute shambles.

Sounds like they only tell what they don't want, not what they do want.
Somehow that sounds reminiscent of british mp's in british parliament about the brexit deal. But in the end they came to their senses. Why shouldn't the politicians in the europarliament achieve the same?

Meanwhile your member states go under the bus.

EU parliament is just there to fool people like you that you still have democracy.

You don't as your finding out

Re: Once Again the EU Fail to Deliver

Hopefully, they will. To be honest, I don't blame the ''Frugal Four'', Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Austria playing hardball with the EU over such mind-boggling sums of money being handed out to the other hardest hit in the Covid-19 Pandemic. 500billion euros in bonds! Just typing the figure is scary enough! and to make matters worse, the poorer countries won't have to pay it back but the richer countries such as Germany, France and the Frugal Four, will be bankrolling it!

My understanding is that the four countries, NADS, are objecting to this scheme by Merkel and Macron and are going to put forward their own plans next week with Mark Rutte, Netherland's Prime Minister,

Thank goodness we are out.

You see we don't need the UK to block initiatives? Now you've left the 'frugal four' manage on their own.

Just because we left doesn't mean you can all screw each other does it?

Fortunately, we were wise enough to realise years ago that there has never been unity in the EU. Only, that the blind lead the blind.
And with regard to you 4 managing on your own? You have no choice anymore. The UK was always the country that was standing up at the front fighting the battle on it's corner as well as yours!. While we were always the country standing up against such things as the squandering of eye-watering amounts of taxpayers monies, you all stayed in your comfortable seats and kept schtum, No need to say anything, the UK was there doing it for you.

Well now you have to do it all by yourselves. It must feel very novel and new to you all. Good Luck!
