Likewise on the matter of the ECJ keeping jurisdiction over the UK after transition. It was easy for me. I accept your legal faculties may not be too great and that hasn't helped you.

Again, you are wrong and I'm beginning to think you are doing this on purpose as nobody can be that silly.

Yes, WA was sorted before UK election but there was still the trade negotiations to follow. Remember? So Boris losing the election would have been great news for the EU as he is a much tougher customer than that bloke who was in charge of the Labour Party. I cannot remember his name now. Last I heard he'd gone back to teaching geography in the local comprehensive school. Anyway, the EU would have been delighted with a Labour victory as it was the last chance they had to keep us within their orbit. Labour would never have left the customs union and single market so there would have been no need for negotiations. And we would still be subject to the jurisdiction of those lovely people at the ECJ.

Boris winning meant all those hopes and dreams you had of the UK being an EU colony were lost forever. Verhofstadt must have been suicidal. Hilarious!!

Tell me, how did you feel when Johnson won with such a large majority?

You forget boris not only signed the WA, but also the political declaration, which sets out the future relations. An honourable country would comply with the documents they sign, irrespective of who succeeds.

Just so you don't forget. You still will be under the jurisdiction of the ECJ after transition.

It was only long after his victory someone explained that in effect he had become the dictator of your country. It seems a role that befits him, and it is what the brits deserve.

The Political Declaration is a wish list. That's all my friend. It's completely meaningless and unenforceable. Why do you call Johnson a dictator?

Both parties put their signature on it. That makes it at minimum a gentlemen's agreement dude. I'm sure you as a brit recognize the value of honouring gentlemen's debts?

Within the british political system the large majority (after which you informed) makes opposition in parliament futile. Meaning every decision boris makes will be formalised.

So on that basis Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher were also dictators?

Strange game you are playing. You state it is a wishlist and unenforceable. I agree it is a gentlemen's agreement. How do you see yourself "getting me"?

If they had similar large majorities in parliament? Your parliamentary system provides for that kind of leadership, apparently.

Says he of the country whose Government is so terrified of its people ever being given the opportunity to have a referendum to leave the EU, that it banned referendums altogether! (without, of course, having a referendum on the decision).
You may argue as you usually do, they were only advisory, but to others who respect and fought for the right for democracy, what your government did without even asking the Dutch people, was basically a cowardly move and a smack in the face for democracy.

So, before you carry on insulting Boris and the way he is bravely taking our country back, may I suggest you take a good hard look at your own Mr Rutte and puppet Government.

What a price he was prepared to pay just to be able to say he sits at the top table with the big boys.
If ever there was a case of 'I'm alright Jack', Rutte's your man.

I looked and didn't like what I saw. I never voted for rutte, he is an arch-conservative. As you and I both loathe him, I am glad to conclude both of us are real socialists. ✊ I salute you, comrade!
