Re: Do older people lose their sense of humour?
I think there is a risk that the grumpiness trumps any previous humour. Perhaps with good reason, like pain or loneliness but I think the real oldies should take care not to become too self-centered and inwards looking. .. like recycled toddlersRe: Do older people lose their sense of humour?
Re: Do older people lose their sense of humour?
I think its good to keep a sense of humour however old you get ,what I dont like seeing though is older folks "trying" too hard to be funny all the time ,that to me is a sure sign of old fogeyness...you just cant force funnyness and for some one to claim to be a recycled teenager oh puleaseeeee just STOP it!!!! its so dated to say that just BE yourselves not some buffoon trying to be funnyRe: Do older people lose their sense of humour?
Many older people I have known, have become self-centred and leg pulling of wisecracking is out of their orbit. I have always made jokes against myself, not as a standard practice, but merely spontaneously.
