I must admit used to be an great letter writer, had quite a few pen pals, now the only things I write are cards, shopping lists etc, never write letters....

Sadly I don't have anyone to write to (everyone say awwwww)-if I did I would hand-write them. I think writing is becoming a lost art and with all the texting the young ones do I'd be surprised if some of them would know how to write a 'proper letter'

I think they all send in typed letter and CV's Mags. Remember applying for jobs, be it many moons ago, and applications had to be hand written.
