Re: Female Doctor Who

I have no problem with there being a female Dr Who.

However, I have not watched Dr Who for years, ever since it stopped being a science fiction adventure programme and morphed into a PC human interest programme.

Re: Female Doctor Who

I've watched it on and off from the Hartnell days.
Always been mystified by the deep analysis it receives. It's light entertainment for family viewing not Beckett or summat.

Re: Female Doctor Who

We stopped watching after first few episodes with Matt smith thought we'd give this new doctor a try and well it's back to being a programme we can all sit down and watch. Really enjoyed it. Was lovely she hung around for the funeral that's quite a departure usually doctor just ups and leaves !

Matt smith has to be the worst closely followed by Peter Capaldi. My favourite recent doctor was Christopher Eccleston who revamped the programme in 2005.

Yes loved him which was why when they brought in Matt smith it was so disappointing I think. We'd got so used to a programme we all loved.

I think the problem with the Smith and Capaldi characters was that they never seemed to be in control. The original doctors always knew exactly what to do in any situation but Smith in particular spent half his time running around like a headless chicken.

We decided he was just a clown and not a real doctor and gave up. Doctors should be wiser than humans and he appeared clueless.
