Measles

Just had a call from school they are sending Grace home they think it's measles. That's 14 from her year at school since they went back after half term.

So I'm getting out the calamine lotion for when she gets here.

Better put the heating on a bit too don't want her getting cold.

Oh poor Grace, I hope it isn't measles Julie .
One of the symptoms is an aversion to light .

Re: Measles

I'm not sure it is measles looking at her now she's here. Rash certainly but it doesn't look like I remember measles. I've rung gp I can pop her down after surgery this evening and they will see her. I'll keep her in until I know in case it's catching but she doesn't feel ill as such just a cough and this rash.

Re: Measles

We all used to get Measles as kids. It's a good thing. It will build very strong antibodies in her for later life.

Could it be German Measles Julie?

I hope Grace recovers soon, whatever the rash is...

Re: Measles

Looks more like urticaria I get when I go into anaphalxis but no other symptoms. I'm keeping a close eye on her in case but that's more like what it looks like.

Good grief - they are not still peddling that trash - are they?

If vaccines must be given they should be given separately - with a decent interval in between. Have they learned nothing.
