In my case, probably a crofter. That's what my father's side did - in the Outer Hebrides off the north west coast of Scotland.

Would I like to back to that? Not likely!

This for me too, Rhian.
Reading about those on here who lived in that generation who have paid everything off and have a sweet lifestyle. They never had it so good, did they?
Plus the 60's music scene since The Beatles (not before) was outstanding.

I think the middle ages I would have loved to have had a horse drawn caravan travelling around possibly selling something crafty.
