Feeling cold all the time

I do tend to feel cold the majority of the time. When I am at home I always have the heating on and even then often find myself sitting next to a radiator.

When I go to family or friends I always find it very cold as well. I either end up leaving my coat on, or sometimes say it is a bit chilly hoping they are cold too, and turn on the heating or up if already on though would feel bad if I did so normally just keep my coat on.

Know that whichever option I choose comes across as a bit rude.

Are you eating properly? Eating decent meals will always generate warmth.

You do sound very cold can't be nice for you. How about some thermal undies you can get them in all sorts of styles now and they do help when I'm out and about so I would imagine they might be just as good indoors.

I have been stocking up on the thermals this year. We have bad weather predicted for after new year too and I know I need them.

Plenty of homemade soups. Always works for me..but then i don't live in Scotland. The only part of the British Isles where it can rain up hill.

Yes we have had a lot of rain here in the last few weeks. At one point it felt like I was constantly soaked every time I went out.

At least it is dry today.

Hmmmm - have you had your blood checked??? perhaps its too thin. Have you been prescribed Warfarin or similar - which is a blood thinning medication???

You perhaps need to eat lots of onions, or garlic to feed the quality of your blood.

I was thinking the same either thin blood or small veins. I notice you live in Scotland Leslie so it's going to be cold wherever you go.

Re: Feeling cold all the time

Hi Lesley, there are a lot of reasons why you feel cold all the time.

1) Thyroid problems.
2) Diabetes.
3) Thin Blood.
4) Medication.

A simple blood test should give you the answer, please make an appointment to see your Doctor.
