Bit more info please Julie?

Are you saying they bloom about 18 months after the original flowering?

When do you put them out, straight after flowering?
Do you leave them in pots or plant them in the soil?
Doesn't the frost kill them?

Re: Your favourite Christmas plant

They flower indoors at christmas, we put them in the garden when the frosts are over so they can finish dying down. Once leaves are gone they sit there until next spring and then they put up leaves. They die down again in the autumn and you should then see a flower head arriving in that spring, some of ours put up leaves first but most put up the flower bud and stalk. They flower about may/june time we find. Following year just leaves. Year after flower again. I think they might be called biannuals doing that ? not sure but they flower every other year.

Re: Your favourite Christmas plant

Thank you. So did you just stand the pots out, or plant the bulbs in the ground.
Did they over winter in the cold through two winters, or did you bring them back in before the frosts?
Don't you feed them?
